=*&%@*=

We are having car trouble again. Both of our cars now....here's the story:

Sunday I got up and started getting ready to head to the pumpkin patch. Michael didn't feel well, so it took us a while to get out the door. Right before we left, Hailey tripped and hit her mouth and chin on our lamp behind the couch. It has shelves in between the legs and she smacked it pretty good on that sharp shelf. Her lip was bleeding and her chin was swollen. Not a good start at all. After a popsicle, some childrens tylenol and much consuling, we finally headed out the door. We get piled into the car and low and behold, my car wouldn't start. It was completely dead. Pissed off, Michael and argue a bit about it and pile into Michael's car and head to the pumpkin patch. Five minutes into our drive, Hailey is sound asleep. Michael and I decided to drive around for an hour to let her sleep. We drove and looked at homes that we won't ever be able to afford. After some starbucks tea and lunch, at two different places because we couldn't agree on one, we finally made it to the pumpkin patch.

When we got home, Michael unlocked my car and it started making a horrible noise. Great...it was the battery. $90 and a delivery pizza later, my car started....until the next morning. It was dead...yet again. Michael had to take us to daycare and work...good thing he was off Monday. Around lunch time, my car finally started, with the check engine light on. Yesterday afternoon, my check engine light when off and Michael's came on. Here we go again...ugh. We have the WORST luck ever. Seriously, we have horrible luck when it comes to pretty much anything and everything.

Good news is...we took some way cute pictures of the pumpkin patch. It was a lot of fun. Look closely and you can see Hailey's lip injury.

=ready for the switch=

As I meantioned in my last post, the past week and a half my coworker and I have switched jobs for training purposes. It seems to be going well on her end, but as for me...I'M BORED! I'm so used to always having something to do. With my job, there is never "down time". I'm not used to having this much time to have to find something to do. It's killing me. The days go SO slow over here and I'm ready to switch back. Even though I'm bored with my job....I'm not bored IN my job. Lol. I'm ready...ready for the switch.

=potty like a big girl=

It's Monday...again. I hate Mondays. I'm always so tired...and way more unmotivated than any of the other days of the week. I'm practically falling asleep here at my desk, or Carmina's desk actually, and all I can do is think about going home and sinking into my pillow. I'm so tired, my eyes are burning. Blah, what a LONG day it's going to be!

We had a pretty exciting thing happen this weekend. Hailey started pottying like a big girl! The funny thing is....she did it by herself! Michael's uncle and cousin came over on Saturday morning and as we were chatting, his Keith said "just so you know, Hailey is running around naked." Haha, sure enough, there was Hailey, no pants, no diaper. She told us that she went potty...sure enough, she did! All by herself, didn't even tell anyone she had to go! Well, this went on all day...even when we went to Maconi's for lunch! She went all day...both number 1 and number 2! This is the beginning of a beautiful thing! I just love the thought of not having to buy anymore diapers!

=funkness=

I've been in a funk lately and can't seem to get out of it. I'm always mentally exhausted with heavy eyes and no matter how much sleep I do or don't get, it doesn't help. Therefore, I'm blah and unmotivated to do much of anything. The dishes have been staying in my sink for a couple days at a time. I haven't vacuumed in over a week. I cook dinner maybe once a week lately rather than 3-4 days a week. I haven't posted in a couple weeks. I'M IN A FUNK! Blah...I'm sure the weather has been adding to my funkness... :o).

So, an update. Besides my funk, my sister and I have had two weddings since I've posted last. The first one we did was the early part of September out in Grayland, WA. Right on the beach. It was gorgeous, a beautiful sunny day. Just perfect. We got to stay at Vacations by the Sea for free, our rooms were comped. They are brand new condos right on the beach in Westport. Check out the website: http://www.vacationbythesea.com/. Our second wedding was super easy. Small decorating at the actual ceremony site, and then the set up of the reception. We only had to stay until 8:30 which meant, NO CLEAN UP FOR US!!!! Whoo hoo! Clean up is the worst part, but this one didn't pay us to do it. You better believe we booked it out of there as soon as we could! There's just something about bussing tables, picking up linens and stacking chairs that just doesn't do it for me. Yuck! All in all, it was a good reception. Our next wedding isn't until December, but we've already started meeting with the bride, a fellow co-working of mine at TwinStar. October 25th, we are donation our time to decorate the silent auction/wine tasting event called Toasts for Tails. It's put on by the Concern for Animals commity. Just an hour or two of our time, should be fun and super easy. Just decorations, my favorite!

Other than that, my life has been pretty boring. Hailey and I have had a few play dates, one of which was with Miss Darbi and her boys last night. It was fun. I haven't seen them in FOREVER, so it was good to catch up and see how big Blake and Ty Ty are. Crazy how fast kids grow. And of course, Darbi laughed at me! Hailey was a "perfect little angel" according to Darbi all night....until we were getting ready to leave at 9:30, about an hour past Hailey's bed time. She was WAY over tired and when she's like that, she gets crazy...and hits. Well, she smacked me pretty good across the head....and Darbi lost it...which of course didn't help me to be stern with Hailey. Ah....what a way to end the night.

As far as work goes, I'm slowly catching up, which is nice. However, for the next week and a half, I'm switching jobs with the girl I've been training so she can sit in my spot and be me for a while. Which means I'm processing...which is tedious, boring and I hate it! Urg...the time moves so slow in this job...blah. Yay for me....

Well kids, I'm off. I'm only taking a break at work...so I need to actually get back to doing something productive. :o)

=birthday girl=

Wow...it's been a while since I've last posted. Lets see...I was on vacation. It was a great vacation. Hailey and I went to the park and starbucks for my tea and her vanilla milk. The weather was FABULOUS! I really enjoyed my time off. I wish I could just be a mommy. Sniff Sniff.

The big event since my last post was Hailey's 2nd Birthday. It's hard to believe that she's already 2. I couldn't stop thinking about how 2 years ago I gave birth to this beautiful girl. Time sure flies! Here are a few pictures of her "blue's clue's" party!
Amazing how big she is....she's a little girl...no longer a baby.

=vacation=

I'm on vacation this week....and I'm LOVING IT! It's going by way too quickly though. Let me tell you...it's half over! Ugh. I desperately need a new job.

Anyways! Monday was labor day and Michael's birthday. Poor Michael had to work too. It sucked. However, while he was at work, I planned a cake and ice cream get together. It was fun.
Happy Birthday baby!!!

Yesterday, my mom watched Hailey so Michael and I could have a day together. It was so nice! We slept in until 10:30 and didn't leave the house until noon. We ventured over to the mall and bought some pants and jackets at Steve & Berry's (which is closing and going bankrupt), had some starbucks teas and then played Glow Golf. Michael won at Glow Golf twice, but i'm the only one that had a hole in one! 3 to be exact....BAM! After that, we enjoyed a nice lunch at Red Robin....with crappy service. First time I've only left a $.06 tip...lol. It was pretty bad.

Today, we got up and headed up to Tacoma to the Point Defiance Zoo. Hailey's first visit to the zoo and she loved it. Poor thing has my cold now though...no voice. So sad. But she had a great time considering. The elephant kinda scared her in the beginning, but she warmed up and loved seeing the animals. Her favorite was the walrus. Lol. So cute!

Tomorrow, we're off to painted plate downtown, lunch at the 5th Ave Sandwich Shop (the best sandwiches ever!!) and Friday is the Hands On Children's Museum downtown. More pictures and updates to come! What a fun filled week!!!
