=8 years=

Today marks the 8 year anniversary of Michael and I making out for the first time (which also happened to be the day we started dating). Eight years. Wow. Eight years ago tonight, we were "watching" Left Behind. How time flies....

I love you baby. Happy make-out anniversary!

=i got gas=

That's right, I filled up today....$2.19 at our Chevron. It took $31.71 to fill up my 15 gallon tank that had been on "E" for a day and a half. That's even cheaper than when I bought the car. LOVE IT!

=veteran's day=

AQUARIUS: It's a great day to distance yourself somewhat from what you've been doing lately, even though you'll head back to it soon, in all likelihood. Every now and then you need time and space to think.

I think my horoscope is telling me to go home...what do you think?

Yes, it's Veteran's Day and I'm work. Lame, I know. We traded today for the day after Thanksgiving. But the funny thing is, we don't have Columbus Day off either. Interesting? I actually find it kind of offensive that we have to work today...and that today is the day they chose to switch. Apparently they've been doing it for years, but I think Veteran's Day is one of the more important holiday's in the year. So many of our family members and friends are veterans...and we are at war currently. I think today should be what it is...a day of honor, for all who have served and all who will. It should not be traded for the day after Thanksgiving to go shopping. Rude....

Michael, Happy Veteran's Day babe. I love you and thank you for serving.

=gain weight, be healthy=

This is my goal for the next month or two. You are all thinking....gain weight? Why would anyone want to gain weight. Well, for the past 5 months or so I've been feeling pretty poor. I feel sick to my stomach pretty much everyday, all day. I would like to blame it on stress/anxiety. Doesn't matter what I eat or drink, if I eat, I feel horrible. Which is actually preventing me from eating well. Because of this, I've lost a lot of weight. 29 lbs to be exact. Don't get me wrong, I have had some issues with my weight even prior to these last 5 months. I weighed too much for my build and height. I worked hard to lose weight and when I did, I felt great. I was at a good weight and size for a several months. But this has really taken a toll on me. I've looked around and I'm not under the weight that I should be for my build and height, but I'm at the lowest I can go. So, here I go....going to eat healthy and gain some weight. Ever since I had the flu, I've been on a kick to eat better and feel better. So, on Saturday on my venture to the store, I picked up some healthy snacks for us to eat. Including celery, peanut butter, raisins, baby carrots, eat right ranch dressing, cinnamon raisin (wheat) bagels (instead of just white), cream cheese, cottage cheese, etc.

I've been searching around on a few websites to find heatlhy foods that I should eat to help me gain a heatlhy weight. Here's what I found:

I need to eat a variety of fruits, grains, veggies, milk and meat/beans. www.mypyramid.gov breaks it down according to your age, weight and height. Great website. Gives you meal ideas, snack ideas, helps track your intake, and it's free! It also does it for kids....and gives great snack ideas through out the day.

I need to keep track of my calorie intake. To reach my goal weight, I should eat 1846 calories a day. Shouldn't be too hard.

So, here I go. I'm off to a better, healthier me. Wish me luck.

=sick and tired=

The past three days I've been sick with the flu. Ugh. Came down with it Wednesday night and I'm even more exhausted and weak today that I was yesterday. Maybe it's because I spent a couple of hours yesterday disinfecting and cleaning the house so Hailey could come back home. Who knows. All I know is that I have NO ENERGY! This one wasn't the worse I've had, but it definitely kicked by butt. I'm just glad to have Hailey home. It's hard not seeing her for a few days. I forgot what her laugh sounded like. :o)

When I'm sick, I have the strangest dreams. What I love doing, is figuring out what they mean. Here's my website, it's usually dead on. www.dreammoods.com

Michael is still in bed, with a cold, and Hailey has a runny nose. Isn't that great. Aren't we the healthy family on the block. :o) Looks like today is going to be a lazy day. I was supposed to go to a friends, Stefani Bailey's, wedding today, but I don't think I'll make it. Bummer. We'll see.

Well, not much to post today seeing that the past couple days have been pretty uneventful. :o) Post later....

=election day=

After putting it off for days....weeks even, I finally sat down and filled in my ballot last night. Thankfully, our county is all mail in. This election has been tough for me, in both Governor and Presidential. A lot of people had it from the beginning who they would vote for, but for me, I've been back and forth many many times. Voting has always been important to me, however, I've never taken it more seriously as I did this election. I've done my research, read each position, thought about it, talked about it with coworkers, Michael, my mom and friends...and still, last night was hard. These are crutial times and picking our next leader for both nation and state for the next four years is a big decision. I'm not quite sure what made it so hard for me. Was it the fact that we are in war? The fact that our economy is rapidly approaching depression or maybe it's the fact that I have a kid and every decision we make effects her....forever. Whatever it may be, it was one of the hardest decisions I've made in a while.

I guess all I can do now is pray that the right person is elected into office...

=fairy princess=

According to Hailey, she was a fairy princess last night. She loved trick or treating and had a total blast getting candy. She kept trying to eat it, but it never happened. No need for her to get hyped up on sugar at 8pm. Ha.

Yesterday, I picked her up from daycare around 12:30 and brought her to my work to trick-or-treat the departments. That's where she scored most of her candy. She would walk into a cubicle or office, say trick-or-treat, get her candy and walk straight out to the next. I made her say thank you every time, but it was always as she was heading out the door. She was determinded to get that chocolate. Lol. I got the rest of the day off after that. It was nice. Michael had to work a few hours before going out to trick-or-treat, so we got kind of a late start. We hit our first house at 8pm...my moms. Lol. That neighborhood is new within the last couple years and it was PACKED! The most kids I've seen trick-or-treating in years. Reminded me when I was little. Huge groups. We decided to take Hailey to a few houses in that neighborhood. Here's a story for you....
Two houses down from my sisters/moms house there was a lady passing out candy and dollar bills. When we went up to the house, the lady was reaking of alcohol and was putting loads of candy and money in Hailey's bag. She looked up at us and said, "mom and dad, there's a treat inside for you. Go on in and help yourselves." As we looked inside, there were shot bottles sitting ready to grab. Um...no thanks! Ha ha. That was a first, let me tell you. This woman must be loaded! Giving out money and shots, wow! Lol. It was pretty funny.
We then hit up Hailey's daycare, some of my moms old neighbors and then Michael's mom's house. We had planned on going out afterwards, but we were both totally exhausted and fell asleep watching Letterman. Lame! Oh well, it was fun night and Hailey was totally adorable.

She had cute little curls in her hair, but it was so damp and foggy out that they fell right out. She was in a funky mood to begin with so I couldn't get a pic before we left. Here's what we have! What a cute "fairy princess"
