=gain weight, be healthy=

This is my goal for the next month or two. You are all thinking....gain weight? Why would anyone want to gain weight. Well, for the past 5 months or so I've been feeling pretty poor. I feel sick to my stomach pretty much everyday, all day. I would like to blame it on stress/anxiety. Doesn't matter what I eat or drink, if I eat, I feel horrible. Which is actually preventing me from eating well. Because of this, I've lost a lot of weight. 29 lbs to be exact. Don't get me wrong, I have had some issues with my weight even prior to these last 5 months. I weighed too much for my build and height. I worked hard to lose weight and when I did, I felt great. I was at a good weight and size for a several months. But this has really taken a toll on me. I've looked around and I'm not under the weight that I should be for my build and height, but I'm at the lowest I can go. So, here I go....going to eat healthy and gain some weight. Ever since I had the flu, I've been on a kick to eat better and feel better. So, on Saturday on my venture to the store, I picked up some healthy snacks for us to eat. Including celery, peanut butter, raisins, baby carrots, eat right ranch dressing, cinnamon raisin (wheat) bagels (instead of just white), cream cheese, cottage cheese, etc.

I've been searching around on a few websites to find heatlhy foods that I should eat to help me gain a heatlhy weight. Here's what I found:

I need to eat a variety of fruits, grains, veggies, milk and meat/beans. www.mypyramid.gov breaks it down according to your age, weight and height. Great website. Gives you meal ideas, snack ideas, helps track your intake, and it's free! It also does it for kids....and gives great snack ideas through out the day.

I need to keep track of my calorie intake. To reach my goal weight, I should eat 1846 calories a day. Shouldn't be too hard.

So, here I go. I'm off to a better, healthier me. Wish me luck.

Holy smokes, that is a lot of calories per day. If you are eating healthier (which is good) that will be harder to do. Good luck, hope you start feeling better and feel healthier.
