My little girl is growing up...
Hailey is growing up so fast. Her hair is long enough as well as thick enough now to keep a ponytail or pigtails in. She hates having something in her hair. So lately I've been working on getting her used to it. I was actually able to put her hair in pigtails this morning before daycare. I'm not expecting them to still be there when I pick her up later tonight. In fact, I'm expecting that they won't be. I can't wait until the day that she begs me to do her hair. At least she likes to have her hair brushed. She also likes brushing my hair. Lol...she doesn't necessarily brush it to make it look better just yet. She kinda goes in circles and ends up knotting it all up and sometimes getting the comb stick in my hair. But whatever, at least she shows an interest. She's already showing interest in make up. Every weekend, she sits in the bathroom brushing her hair while I get ready. A couple weekends ago, I gave her an old blush holder that I had and a brush. She now sits there and pretends to put on make up. She is just too darn cute! She even looks at herself in the mirror of the blush holder. I love the fact that she's already trying to do the things I do. I am absolutely in love with this little girl. She definitely holds a key to my heart...and will forever. I dream of the day that we can have girl talk and talk about the cute boys in her class...however, I don't want it to get here just yet. Where we are is fine for now. :o) I'm excited!
Not only does Hailey show interest in hair and make up, she now wants to walk everywhere. Before, I used to pick her up to walk out to the car from daycare...and walk to the door to daycare as well as walk up our stairs when we get home...now, she screams if I don't put her down. She's becoming so independent. Well, with the exception of me having to put on her socks and shoes, hold her hand, etc. Lol.
Oh! Hailey is also wanting to take showers with me instead of her baths. Yeah, not even a year and a half old and already prefering showers over baths....what a nut!
This beautiful blue eyed girl melts my heart and makes me realize what the purpose of my life is. I can't even remember what I used to do with my time before I had her. She is the best part of me. I wouldn't change being Hailey's mama for anything...no matter how frustrated I get.

Steph,
I would have to agree! She is the most beautiful, perfect grand-daughter.
Love you
