=my day off=

On Thursday, I took the day off and Michael switched his day off and we got to hang out with each other and Hailey. The day started out kinda slow...which is nice, but seems to be a trend lately. We ate breakfast with our neighbors, blueberry pancakes, eggs and sausage. Hailey and I then went to Khol's to return an item and just looked around for a bit. As I was heading back home, she ended up falling asleep in the car...so I picked up some lunch for Michael and I and then went and picked him up. She slept for about 30 minutes or so while Michael and I drove to the westside for Hailey's 18 month check up, even though she'll be 19 months next week. Oh well. She did great, she's growning great and progressing perfectly. Makes mommy proud. However, she had to get her 4th polio shot and her 3rd DTaP shot....yuck. She wasn't too excited about that...that's for sure! After that, we went back home and just hung out until Michael had to go to work. Hailey and I just goofed around and then played with Jack, our neighbor's boy, for a bit. After Michael went to work, Hailey and I decided to take a walk...it was a gorgeous day out...why not take advantage of it. So, we went out on our journey to the other side of the apartment complex...haha. Mommy didn't really want to go too far. As we walked, Hailey said hi to ever person who was out...then proceeded to tell them out our day, in Hailianeze that is. It cracked me up...and the people definitely enjoyed it. Hailey and I stopped at the back entrance of the complex, where the parking lot is large, wide and empty. This is where she began to play...with a rock. She wouldn't leave the rock alone...and later tried eating it. Lol.

We ran, we jumped, we picked dandelions, she chased after a UPS truck...and a dog...lol. It was a blast.

On a side note...my neighbor below us, the one I had a confrontation with, approached me yesterday as Hailey and I were leaving to go to the store. I was buckling Hailey in as she was unloading her car...Hailey said "Hi" to her and she actually responded with a hi back. She then proceeded to talk to me.

Her: "You know, I came up and knocked on your door the other day to thank you for the effort that's been made lately"
Me: "oh...you did? I'm sorry, I don't think I heard you. Thank you. You know, we are nice people"
Her: "Yeah, it was just a bad day for both of us"
She then put her hand out for a shake
Me: "This is Hailey"
Her: "Hi Hailey, you sure are beautiful aren't you?"
Hailey: "Yeah"
ahahahaha
Her: "She definitely knows it doesn't she"
Me: "She does hear it often. Well, Thank you, and have a good day"
Her: "You too"

WOW! I never would have thought that she would do somethink like that....never. She has never been nice to us from the day we moved in. The day we moved in, she complained about our moving truck being in her way....yeah. So this caught me completely off guard. It was nice though. Now I feel tons better....

Well kiddos, I'm off to do some house work (what else is new). Hailey and Michael are napping...so it's my quiet time...FINALLY! Lol. Hope you all have/had a wonderful weekend.

She is so beautiful! Of course I remember you! I am not so old :)

Thank goodness the weather is starting to change, right? Even a walk across the parking lot makes life so much more fun (and then the evenings so much easier!)

"Hi my name is Hailey and I am cute. I left a super fun message on Aunt Melissa's voicemail that made her grin from ear to ear. I miss her mom, can she come over and play??"

I wish I lived closer...she is growing up so quick :) I love all the pictures! Keep posting more! Who would have thought walking around the apartment complex would be such an adventure :) haha Love it!

Also, glad about the conversation with your neighbor lady. That was pretty big of her!
